Director of Team Art
RUDIS is currently seeking an individual for a creative leadership position in our Custom Team Gear business unit. The ideal candidate will be able to cast creative vision, critique and lead design, and take the team to new heights. This role is equal parts creative leadership and business development. The individual will be responsible for driving sales and elevating the marketing strategy for the Custom Team Gear business. They will be in touch with the entire customer journey and support the sales team with creative materials to enhance relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft strategies for all Team Gear marketing, including digital, advertising, communications and creative
- Collaborate with the Director of Team Sales to define core messaging framework and product positioning and apply across marketing channels
- Create campaigns and distribute through multiple channels
- Design and develop the customer journey with the goal of driving pipeline and revenue growth
- Critique and provide creative feedback on apparel & marketing design
- Provide creative direction
- Oversee and lead the production of annual product catalogs, design offerings and visual sales tools
- Be in touch with the web development team to create solutions for the Team Gear website, Team Stores, and new web initiatives
- Responsible for setting, monitoring and reporting on team goals
- Ensure visuals and creative content reflect consistently and positively the brand image and company ideals
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 6-8 years of experience as a Creative Director or Marketing Lead
- Strong leadership skills and ability to build the team
- Captivating brand storyteller
- Athletic knowledge and a passion for sports is a plus
- Strong writing skills
- Strong knowledge of marketing best practices, industry trends, brand/content strategy and development
- Big picture perspective and knowledge on how to develop and grow brand identities through multi-channel marketing
- Ability to recognize when new roles are needed within the creative team and can pitch, recruit, hire and mentor strategic talent and/or teams
- Proven track record and portfolio that demonstrates creativity and ideation with a strong point of view on design
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- A hands on SEO and marketing thought leader with a proven track record of measurable impact
- Ability to drive a fast pace creative environment
