Shilson has already put together a storied career, winning UWW World Titles at the Cadet, Junior, and U23 levels to go along with a gold medal at the Youth Olympic Games, two titles at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championship (NCWWC), and a WCWA national title.
In high school, Shilson rewrote the record books in more ways than one. She became the first girl to qualify for the Minnesota AAA boys state championship, a feat that she accomplished three times in addition to winning six high school state championships in the girls division while also excelling in the classroom and being a member of the National Honor Society.
