THE BEST IN WRESTLING ASSEMBLE FOR SUPER MATCH
Wrestling’s brightest stars gather for the biggest night in Wrestling. The event kicks off with two high school matchups: Jesse Mendez vs. Casey Swiderski at 145 lbs and Caleb Henson vs. Hunter Garvin at 152 at lbs.
MATCH 1: MENDEZ VS SWIDERSKI
Fans are excited about the battle between Mendez and Swiderski. As two of the best high school wrestlers in the country, they have crossed paths multiple times before and now in Super Match, Mendez and Swiderski will have their long-awaited rematch at Super Match.
MATCH 2: HENSON VS GARVIN
Caleb Henson and Hunter Garvin will face each other for the first time in Super Match. Henson, a Georgia native, is a Junior Freestyle National Champion. He’ll face off against Garvin, who is a 2x state champion.
MATCH 3: McFADDEN VS FINESILVER
The third match on the card is David Mcfadden vs. Mitch Finesilver at 79 KG. Mcfadden, a 4x NCAA All-American, will face Finesilver, who is a European Bronze Medalist for Israel.
MATCH 4: SHILSON VS GOLSTON
Fourth match is Emily Shilson vs. Erin Golston at 50 KG. Shilson, a newly-signed RUDIS athlete, has won UWW World titles at the Cadet, Junior, and U23 levels. In addition, she is a gold medalist at the Youth Olympics. Shilson’s opponent will be Golston, a 3x time U.S National Team Member, 3x U.S Open runner-up, and a Junior World Silver Medalist.
MATCH 5: HENDERSON VS GROSS
The fifth match will be Evan Henderson vs. Seth Gross. Henderson, a 2x All American, will battle Seth Gross. Gross is a NCAA Champion, 2x NCAA Finalist, and 3x NCAA All American.
MATCH 6: WHITE VS DHESI
The sixth matchup of Super Match is Derek White vs. Amar Dhesi at 125 KG. Moving into heavyweight, White is a NCAA Runner-up. He will battle Amar Dhesi, a 2020 Olympian for Canada and a 3x NCAA All-American.
MATCH 7: BLADES VS FRANCIS
The seventh match is between Kennedy Blades and Victoria Francis at 72 KG. A recently-signed RUDIS athlete, Kennedy is making headwaves in the wrestling community, making into the finals of the Olympic trials as a 17 year old. Her opponent will be Victoria Francis, a USA Team Member.
MATCH 8: MOORE VS JACKSON
The eighth match is Kollin Moore vs. Nate Jackson at 97 KG. Another RUDIS athlete, Kollin Moore has proven himself in the most competitive environments. Kollin is a 4x All American, Olympic Alternate, and US National Champion. He’ll be competing against Nate Jackson, a 2x All American and current assistant coach at Princeton University.
MATCHUP 9: SNYDER VS. COX
Final match will be the long-awaited rematch between Kyle Snyder and J’den Cox at 97 KG. Both legends have accomplished much in their celebrated careers. J’den Cox and Kyle Snyder are both Olympic and World Champion with domestic and international experience. Fans are eagerly awaiting this matchup.
The Snyder vs. Cox matchup will be a best 2 of 3 series. The first match will take place as the 9th matchup of the night. The second match will happen after the 15th match on the Super Match card. If the winner isn’t crowned at the end of the second match, a third match will occur.
MATCH 10: MARTINEZ VS DIERINGER
Match 10 is between Isaiah Martinez and Alex Dieringer at 79 KG. A hot card with a lot of buzz, this is a matchup that has the fans talking. Since their last battle at the 2021 World Team Trials, fans are dying to see the two face-off again in Super Match.
MATCH 11: MIRACLE VS BRUNTIL
Moving on to Match 11, Kayla Miracle vs. Emma Bruntil. A Team RUDIS member, Kayla Miracle is a 2020 Olympian and World Silver medalist. Her opponent, Emma Bruntil, is a U23 World Team member that has most recently won the prestigious Ivan Yarguin Grand Prix.
MATCH 12: MARTIN VS HALL
Match 12 is another popular matchup: Myles Martin vs. Mark Hall at 86 KG. Both are accomplished wrestlers with a high level of recognition within the community. Martin is a NCAA Champion, 4x All-American, and a U23 World Team Member. His opponent, Hall, is a NCAA Champion, US National Champion, 2x Junior World Champion and a Cadet World Champion.
MATCH 13: OLIVER VS PANTALEO
The 13th match on the card will be Jordan Oliver vs. Alec Pantaleo at 70 KG. Oliver is a 2x NCAA Division I Champion, 2019 US National Champion, and 2020 Olympic Trials Champ. Alec Pantaleo is a Pan Am Continental Champion, 3x NCAA Division I All American and a Big Ten Conference Champion.
MATCH 14: RETHERFORD VS GREEN
Moving onto Match 14th, it’s Zain Retherford vs. James Green at 70 KG. The two have wrestled before at the 2016 Olympic trials. The match ended with Zain’s victory 9-2. Will Zain remain on top or will James take this opportunity for redemption. Watch Super Match on March 16th to find out.
MATCH 15: HILDEBRANDT VS GROSS
The 15th match is Sarah Hildebrandt vs. Ronna Gross at 53 KG. Both are accomplished and experienced, this will be the first time that they’ve wrestled each other. A Team RUDIS Athlete, Sarah is a 2020 Olympic Bronze Medalist, 2x World SIlver Medalist, and 4x Pan Am Champion. Her opponent, Ronna Gross, is a Pan Am Champ and U23 World Team Member.
