KAYLA MIRACLE WINS FOURTH U.S. OPEN TITLE
LAS VEGAS, NV- RUDIS athlete Kayla Miracle won the 2022 U.S. Open in style; pinning veteran Jennifer Page in a mere 18 seconds to secure the 62kg title. Miracle, now training out of Tempe, AZ, tallies this as her fourth Open title, winning in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Miracle dominated in each of her three matches, winning by Fall, Technical Superiority, and Fall. The four-time age level world medalist has owned the 62kg weight class domestically, with her last in-country loss being Final X in 2018
As a returning World Silver Medalist, Miracle has already reserved a coveted spot in the lineup of Final X New York, the final domestic stop in her journey to improve upon last year’s runner-up campaign in Oslo.
Final X NYC will be held at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater on June 8th. Miracle will be facing a now-unknown opponent to be decided at the World Team Trials next month. Competing alongside Kayla in NYC will be fellow RUDIS athletes Jordan Burroughs and Sarah Hildebrandt, both of whom earned their spots by medaling at the 2021 World Championships.
