April 14, 2021: RUDIS Wrestling Gear is pleased to announce its most recent venture with Luminary Group with the release of a signature apparel line honoring the bold and competitive spirit of legendary football coach, Vince Lombardi.
Vince Lombardi, LEGEND is the culmination of RUDIS’ continued commitment to create authentically expressive apparel paying homage to pioneers in American sport.

Luminary Group, a full-service licensing company and the exclusive representative of some of the most iconic, celebrated personalities in history has collaborated with RUDIS in the past.
“Similar to our line of apparel honoring Jesse Owens, our work with Luminary Group on this project brought us outside the sport of wrestling,” Leng said. “Our mission with this project was capturing Lombardi’s spirit, a spirit that demanded greatness and settled for nothing less. It’s a trait shared by all legendary champions, but especially this son of Italian immigrants who became one of the most distinguished leaders in history – a trait that doesn’t demand victory every single time on the mat, gridiron or track, but does demand the relentless pursuit of victory.”
After coaching in high school and at Fordham University, Lombardi coached for 5 years at West Point. The discipline he witnessed under legendary head coach Earl “Colonel Red” Blaik impressed itself upon Lombardi’s coaching style.
In 1954, Lombardi accepted his first position in the NFL with the New York Giants. Five years later, upon accepting the head coaching position for the Green Bay Packers, Lombardi began the journey that would leave his permanent mark on American sports history. He led the Packers to 5 NFL championships in 7 years and won the first two Super Bowls at the conclusion of the 1966 and 1967 seasons.
Lombardi never had a losing season in the NFL, compiling a record of 105 wins, 35 losses and 6 ties.
To those who played for him, Lombardi’s epic, fiery style was rooted in his commitment to the pursuit of excellence.
