This week, Cary Kolat breaks down at what age you should start to implement high-level techniques as a young athlete. First and foremost, Kolat believes that athletes should be exposed to a wide variety of different wrestling, but also have a strong base in order to prepare themselves for learning high-level techniques. From there, Kolat states that you’ll be able to tell if the athlete is ready based on their performance and ability with what they already know and that there is no specific age to start teaching high-level techniques.
